2011 Wainman Hawaii Board Collection

Most have already seen or heard about new board collection from Wainman Hawaii, either in person or while following reports from European Rabbit Gang tour on our website, and we also know that both you, as well your customers, have been waiting anxiously for them and so we are happy to inform you that new Wainman Hawaii boards are becoming available.

BLUNT II
Continuing the huge success of the 1st Blunt edition, we are pleased to present improved Blunt II with a changed construction, new graphics and accessories. The new Blunt, produced in our new factory in Austria, is slightly heavier but now "totally" bomb proof. Still, this is the same great, skinny board, as dragless, as smooth, as edgy, and as sick for strapped freeride as the original Blunt was. No matter if it's flat, wave or choppy water - the Blunt will do the job! Blunts will be supplied with 5cm fins, new thermo foam pads and straps, grab handle, tool bag and of course board bag. New Blunts are available in 4 sizes: 125 x 39 cm; 130 x 40,5 cm; 135 x 41,5 cm; 137 x 43,5 cm.

JOKE
Though this wakestyle oriented revolutionary board is causing many pro-riders wanting to switch their sponsors, it is also great all-round board for intermediate riders. The most revolutionary board in Wainman Hawaii range and probably the most innovative on the market, on the first look gives you the thought of a wakestyle/newschool board and though our inspiration in designing this board, was to make Niccolo's great riding even better, but in the end we have also perfect tool for advanced/intermediate amateurs who want to make a progress. Fast riding, insane pop, finless riding and the smoothest landing in the industry. These features together with pretty big rocker gives direct feel and top performance. Jokes will be supplied with shorter 4 cm fins, new thermo foam pads and straps, board bag, tool bag and is ready to be ridden with wake bindings. Jokes are available in 3 sizes: 134 x 40,5 cm; 138 x 41,5 cm; 142 x 42,5 cm.

SURFBOARDS
Wainman Hawaii is proud to present new series of surfboards shaped by famous waterman from Hawaii - Sean Ordonez. The greatest shapes and high technology used for production of those waves toys, are so good that Niccolo, Bertrand use with no effects to their riding production ones instead of their previous custom boards. But in fact not only pros will feel the difference but specially average rider will appreciate them. This time we are coming up with 3 models (8 sizes all together): Magnum - continuation of our classic last year surfboard model, Gambler - new style shape, which refers to last year WIDE series and Passport - new shape, designed for strapless and paddle surfing.

We have no doubts the our actual selection of boards will cover demand of almost 100% riders. Everyone can find the most suited board for his need and have as much fun as possible. We are sure that same way Rabbit kites are changing kite standards in the air, our boards will do the rest and change people's expectation to those piece of equipment that usually stays in the water.

Here is the new Wainman Hawaii 2011 Surfboards. I have the Magnum 5'10 for demo and will have the 5'7 Gambler soon.

As our Surf series was very successful over the past year and because our riders together with our R&D department were searching for new shapes, we developed new tools together with our great new shaper Sean Ordonez (his shapes are super hot in Hawaii now). We decided to share those new shapes with our customers and produce them in mass production and divide our existing line of 7 sizes old Surfs  (4 of the narrow ones and 3 wider ones) into 3 new sub-families:

1.The Magnum - CONTINUATION OF THE CLASSIC NARROW SURF SHAPE

The Magnum is a continuation of the current 5`9 6`1 6`3 and 6`5 classic "gunny" surfboard shapes. It is now available in 4 more adequate sizes: 5`7 (Magic Seven) for girls and smaller guys, 5'10 (Perfect Ten) for medium sized dudes, 6'0 (Sick Zero) for medium to bigger riders and for biggest guys or the lightest conditions or fastest waves 6`2 (Double Barrel).

This series has a classic shape, nice nose rocker, beautiful and very fast outline and magic bottom 3D shape. This board is designed for the highest performance. It also has more rocker, turns way better than before and generally is a killer machine for riding real waves and turning on them. Because of the narrow classic shape they are also very fast and therefore navigation with kite is excellent as the acceleration and holding the speed are great. The perfect condition for Magnum is side-shore but it is also suitable for the others wind/wave directions.

Because of great feeling that this board delivered IT is a great toy even for flat waters, you can have super fun free-ride session with it, jibe it, go fast, point upwind and be happy. It can be ridden nice strapless and kick- flipped like a little skateboard.

Construction of this board is a medium weight, durable full custom epoxy construction with hi density Styrofoam core and PVC foam double sandwich shell. Only finest fiberglass is used for this lamination and all the weight in the board is its strength, without any putties or fillers. The boards are very strong but still light enough to have lots of fun strapless and to quick to plane.

Board comes with the full setup of accessories and new this season is the 5 fins/fin boxes that comes included, so you can ride it with 2 settings: Thruster or Quad  - Thruster will make the radius of the turns a bit longer and will hold in the turn better while Quad will let you turn quicker, edge better, but on the huge waves might not hold to tight in long turns.

Totally new in the industry is the straps inserts that have a nice offset pre-positioned inserts so every rider can offset their stance according to his natural preference. Or keep it perfectly in line, which is a rare possibility on the market as well!

2.The Gambler - PROGRESSIVE WIDE SURF SHAPE IN A FULL KITESURFING SETUP

Gambler is a totally new and very modern, progressive shape, referring to our last year Wide model, however it is light years ahead of it. This shape was designed for everyday fun in all conditions ridden 4-5 inches shorter than your average classic board. With less length and more width this board is made for progressive and more floaty radical surfing even when the waves are not that great. Because of the 3D bottom shape, special channels in it and good amount of the rocker. This board is still very fast which means it is stable in higher speeds despite being apparently wider which is its advantage for the bottom end conditions both in the wave and wind aspect. This extra width gives this board quicker surf planing and catches more of the wave to surf it. The Gambler provides the fun factor in smaller  onshore waves, however in nice side-shore bigger waves, it rocks as well because of its smart rocker. This board is like 2 in one: it can make a session in a smaller shorter onshore wave a blast and it also can serve you well in a very big side shore waves with strong wind and high speeds - because of the generous amount of rocker.
The bottom shape goes from double under your front foot to single off the tail. And that makes turns really nice despite the wider width.
Despite its name Gambler, it is a very safe shape as it provides lots of fun in both: crappier conditions when its special dimensions help to squeeze out surf time and in the epic days when the great hydrodynamics and proportions don't make you suffer that you ride a little fat boy. However as you can rip in those versatile conditions, you will go for it more often and the chances that you will be wet are getting higher!

For sure a fun all-round board with lots of potential for flat waters as well.

Sizes: 5' 7 - real beauty all-round weapon;  5'10 - light wind or big guy board.

Construction of this board is a medium weight, durable full custom epoxy construction with hi density Styrofoam core and PVC foam double sandwich shell. Only finest fiberglass is used for this lamination and all the weight in the board is its strength, without any putties or fillers. Boards are very strong but still light enough to have lots of fun strapless and quick to plane.

3.The Passport - WIDE SURF SHAPE, "THE WORLD TRAVELLER" SURF AND KITESURF  - 2 IN 1

Check out our totally new surf shape of "The Passport". This board was designed to be a "World Traveller's" first choice - a great all-round surf/kitesurf board that you can take with you for any trip and paddle surf the waves with it or surf them with the KITE when the wind picks up!!!

This board, like Gambler, is also a wide, new school shape and so it is usually ridden 4-5 inches shorter than your normal short board and 3/4 to an inch wider. The lower rocker line than in Gambler, makes Passport quicker to plane both when it comes to small waves or lighter wind.
This board wouldn't be the best choice for super windy days or very fast waves as its low end is better than its high end comparing to Gambler or of course to Magnum, that is designed specifically for those epic condition. Passport will serve you well when the conditions are real sick and in all those average days while all other dudes are complaining you will be charging and make them jealous!
Turning is pure fun because of the perfect outline, step-shaped tail and 3D bottom.

This surfboard is meant for strapless riding. It is very good for strapless jumping and strapless fun.  It is very light but strong enough to survive the overloads that occur everyday while charging. The lightweight construction allows for quick planing and superior overall response on the water. You can use this surfboard everywhere you want. You will be super happy on flat water as it will make you ride when everybody is still in the bar, and you will be stoked surfing on waves without the kite if the wind is not there yet. When the wind comes in,  you will be rock star as well and so this is a genesis of the name Passport - take only this one with you on a trip and you will be stoked!

Sizes: 5'8, and 5'11

Construction of this board is a lightweight full custom epoxy construction with hi density Styrofoam core and PVC foam double sandwich shell. Only finest fiberglass is used for this lamination and all the width in the board is its strength, without any putties or fillers. Boards are very strong but still light enough to have lots of fun strapless and to plane quick and feel the surf riding "noise" well.

As it is meant more for strapless riding, this board comes only with rear pad, bag and 5 fins, so you can ride it with 2 settings: Thruster or Quad  - Thruster will make the radius of the turns a bit longer and will hold in the turn better while Quad will let you turn quicker, edge better, but on the huge waves might not hold to tight in long turns.

Although this board doesn't come with straps we left 2 inserts in each position so if waves are really big riders can attach them to go through the break. Totally new in the industry is the straps inserts that have a nice offset pre-positioned inserts so every rider can offset their stance according to his natural preference. Or keep it perfectly in line, which is a rare possibility on the market as well!
